Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm–126:5-6
Life has its highs and lows, but for some reason, the lows feel like they last longer. Life has a way of crashing you down and testing your limits. It has a way to prey on the weak, the kind, and the gentle souls.
Maybe life has been unkind to you this season of your life.
Maybe you lost your job;
Maybe you lost a loved one;
Maybe you are going through a painful divorce;
Maybe you are bearing ongoing health challenges;
Whatever hardship you are experiencing, you are bearing witness to the brokenness of this world.
If that is you right now, I want to hold your hand and tell you that things will get better. Just keep being faithful to the One life has been the most unfair to. He knows what you are going through, and He is sharing your pain.
He knows what it’s like to be poor;
He knows what it’s like to be rejected;
He knows what it’s like to be in physical pain;
He knows what it’s like to bear the weight of the world and experience all of its injustice.
But in this rollercoaster we call life, one thing remains constant — God. He is faithful and His love endures forever. (Psalm 117:2)
And no matter how unfair life is, God is just. Whatever life has stolen from you, God will restore it to you in one way or another. (1 Peter 5:10)
Life is a pilgrimage, and in the same way Christ was a grain of wheat that had to die to bear more fruit (John 12:24), you will come out victorious. Remember that crucibles produce the purest gold, and hardship builds character — God never lets suffering go to waste.
